Flytech Aviation Hyderabad, Telangana-pilot & AME training institute-review

Flytech aviation is one of the prominent pilot training academies in Hyderabad, with courses for pilot training and AME training. They also conduct graduation courses on certain streams of aviation. Started AME course and in full establishment in 2005, they have got approvals for various streams like MRO (Maintenance and Repair). It is guided by the India’s first lady CFI, Capt. Mamatha. We had a brief interview with the management team and  came to know well about the current scenario of the institute. Please read on for more information.

Flytech conducts a variety of courses on aviation. PPL, CPL,  AFI & FI rating, AME training, aeronautical engineering, BSc aerospace engineering, BSc aviation by Osmania University of Hyderabad etc.

Aircrafts & Fees

From our interview on 11-5-2016, we came to know that Flytech now has 6 single engine aircrafts. 6 Cessna 152 @10,000 Rs/hour and 1 Cessna 172 @ 12,000 Rs/hour and a Beech Baron B58 (Multi engine) @ 35,000 Rs/hour are there.  However, at the time of our conversation with them, multi engine aircraft is temporarily unavailable. Students should talk with the authority for confirmation on this. They have got 2 flight simulators as well for flying training.For AME training purposes, they have got a few more aircrafts with no approval for flying. AME Course

Flytech aviation academy conducts AME course approved by DGCA. They have got MRO approval too, for maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft engines. Course fees is approximately 5 lakhs.

Placement & Career

Flytech provides placement assistance for those who successfully finish their course in the stipulated time. However, no placement guarantee is given. A lot of students were placed in various airlines, flying clubs and chartered companies and can be found at the alumni page of the organisation’s website.

Other Facilities

Hostel facility is provided in close proximity of the training center with separate accommodation for girls and boys. A canteen is also operating in campus premises. A library of 8000 books is also available for the students.

Student Survey Report

We contacted a few students to know their opinion about the academy. There were no issues with the AME training, as far as we understood. However, for pilot training, some seems to be unsatisfied due to occasional halts in flying. Anyway, this is usual with many training centers in India and so, we don’t think that it is a major issue.
